Mei came from a family of sword makers who specialise in making spirit swords. She ran away with the family sword set so that she can travel the world and make a name for herself as a legendary swords(wo)man. She is most well-known for her special five blade defence-melee, only made possible by the way sentient spiritual essence is woven into the swords when they were forged.
