FUNPLUS and XII BRAVES PTE LTD are proud to present the Valiant Force Hero Design Contest 2016. We are calling on all artistic minds around the world to submit original work which would be a great fit for the world of Valiant Force, scheduled for launch in Q3 2016.

Use your creativity and ability to produce work staying true to the style of the Valiant Force universe. Design and illustrate a new hero which you imagine could be fighting alongside the heroes of Valiant Force, cladding them in magnificent armor, wielding legendary weapons, and facing off against formidable enemies!

Discover

Discover Valiant Force and its heroes. Using materials from the Art Sample page and the Valiant Force game website as reference, learn about the Valiant Force universe and its characters.

Design

Design a new hero to exist in the Valiant Force universe. Go crazy with their outfit and armor designs, and think of the special attacks and magic spells which they can unleash. Illustrate them and bring them to life. Do not duplicate the images in the Art Sample page and include them in your entry.

Submit your masterpiece! Your entry must be at least 2000 pixels in its shortest length, with a minimum of 72 dpi, in a single PNG or JPG file, no larger than 5MB. Please name your file as: ValiantForce_EntrantName

All qualified entrants have the opportunity to be realized as an in-game hero card.

Everyone whose artwork is qualified for the Valiant Force Hero Design Contest will receive exclusive in-app items. Exact items and method of delivery will be determined at a later stage.

Rules

Entrant must be at least 13 years old as of 15th May 2016.
Entrant may reside in any country of the world.
Entries must be submitted through the contest gallery at contest.playvaliantforce.com.
The contest shall commence at 23:00:00 (GMT-5) on May 14, 2016, and shall continue in duration until 10:59:59 AM (GMT-5) on July 31, 2016 (the Deadline). All entries must be received by the Deadline to be eligible for submission.
Your submitted entry is to be an original piece of artwork of a hero character concept matching the the Valiant’s style. Illustrate your character however you wish, whether it's in a battle pose about to face an unseen enemy or simply just standing there looking awesome. Feel free to take it further by adding other accessories.
Your submitted entry is to be a digital piece of artwork. If your choice of medium is traditional (watercolour, acrylic, pastel, oil painting, etc), a scanned image of the completed artwork is to be used for submission.
You may use as reference, but not duplicate, visual materials provided on the contest site.
Submit your masterpiece. Your entry must be at least 2000 pixels in its shortest length, with a minimum of 72 dpi, in a single PNG or JPG file, no larger than 5MB.
(Optional) Along with your submission, you can include a brief description of around 50 words explaining your Hero’s details and story. This will help us better understand your inspiration and the Hero’s back story.

Judges

Entrants will be notified of their shortlisted works via email by 10:59 AM (GMT-5) August 3, 2016.

Artworks in the contest gallery will be open to public audiences to vote for using Facebook “Likes” for the duration beginning 23:01 (GMT-5) August 3, 2016 ending 22:59 (GMT-5) August 21, 2016. This will account for 20% of the points.

The remaining 80% of the points will be graded by the Valiant Force preliminary judge panel on the following criteria:
